Screens and Young Minds

Have ever seen a parent letting a young child play with a smartphone just to get him or her engaged with it and get some freetime for himself/herself? Such cases are rather common despite of their serious effects on a child’s brain. Let’s see what too much screen use can cause:
– reduced interpersonal interaction, less socialization
– slow development of talking
– negative structural changes in the brain.
Young children exposed to screens for long may suffer developmental delays in fine motor and social skills, not mentioning the lack of communication and problem solving skills.
If you see a friend who hands over his or her smartphone every time the young child cries, speak about these risks.
